Financial Support
We understand that experiencing GBV can have a financial impact, and you do not need to manage this alone. Our university offers a Hardship Bursary and provides support on
a case-by-case basis to help make your financial options clear. This includes guidance on Student Finance, how taking a break from studies may affect scholarships, tuition fees, or liabilities, and what other provisions may be available to you.
Our Student Money Advice and Rights Team (SMART) can provide tailored, one-to-one advice to support you in making informed decisions about your studies and finances.
In addition, we work in partnership with Citizens Advice to offer external referral and support where needed.
Financial guidance is an important part of our overall support for students affected by GBV, ensuring you have access to the right information and help when you need it most.
